Oxford MP Says Service Cut Report Speculative

It's the first day back for MP's in Ottawa since the Christmas break.

Issues at hand are jobs and the economy.

Yet some issues (specifically) may be cause for concern if the Toronto Star holds true to their report.

The report says "more than 50,000 federal jobs could disappear by the time the Conservatives are finished their budget-cutting that may include service cuts to aboriginals, seniors, low-income earners and other vulnerable Canadians.

Oxford MP Dave MacKenzie spoke with Heart-FM from the nation's capital this morning   and says he disagrees with the report

"what I've read today in one of the major newspapers is pure speculation on their part and on the part of the people that provide the information for them. There is certainly no definitive numbers here".

MacKenzie says "the Conservatives priority is to continue focusing on the jobs and the economy and to get Canadians focused on it".
